One very difficult grammar concept in Spanish is the difference between ser and estar. Both of these verbs mean "to be" so the question remains,
"To be or not to be...that is the question."
Ser is used for most cases while estar is a bit more confusing. Please watch the video below, take LOTS of notes and complete the survey. I will be checking to make sure you have the acronyms given in the video for both the verbs ser and estar as well as the conjugation of these verbs (you will find that in the videos to your left).
